Will the new body work and tank fit on a 97 GS500?
What about alternatives for the front fender?
My wife's GS was in a low speed low side and needs new paint or body work.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Sid

The new tank will fit old frames, but it won't fit the old seat and tail plastic and the new seat and rear bodywork won't fit on old sub-frames without a little modification...

However the new bodywork should fit on the old bikes with only needing the mounting brackets bolted to the frame.

to do the new bodywork on older bike you'll need tank, seat, rear body panels and taillight. The rear panels dont attach same way as older ones (screws go in vert on one and horizontal on other). Doesn't mean you can't get it to fit (zip-ties anyone?) new tank is molded to new seat style. I've never actually tried fitting one to the other, I just had a new and old bike disassembled next to each other and did a visual.

You should try buying the bodywork from someone here...
