I am working on buying tubing and making these again. I am going to guess they would cost ~60 and shipping.
The usual process I like is, get preorders and assume some extra ~10% and some wasteage and buy material and make em.
I am buying 20 ft length later today. But PM me and I'll ask for $ almost on the heels of buying the material. It will get made and sent and pics etc etc all will be sent as I make em.
They will be powdercoated shiny black, be drilled at the ends for press fit weights and fit all the fat grips and extra stuff on the bars without anything hitting anything else (like brake banjo vs dash etc)
Of course they fit all years of GS that dont have clip on bars - 90-09.

How much does this change the position of where your hands are in relation to the stock bars.

Since there is one ... a whopping 1 person who has expressed interest and I have freaking got 40 ft of the bugger in my welders rack ...

I'll make 1 or more prototypes and well, I am thinking - bassmechanicz - I'll send you 1 ... you take pics and fit and do it ... then put it up and see what you want changed etc and hot it fits/hits ... That can be the final design step.

Yea yea ... everyone wants pics, and I cant take pics of things I haven't make yet ... However in my defense this is lot #4 and I have jigged it from lot 2 so its gonna be the same as batches 2 and 3 ...

Anyway that's my best idea ... anyone got better ?

Even if someone has a pic that bought it from one of the previous batches would work so i can atleast see how the bends are.  I am looking for something slightly different from the stock bars but nothing extreme.

No bends in 4 weld.
They are ~30 degree grip angle (if a straight bar is 0 degree, these are 30 and they are perfectly flat, no rise/drop. Your grips will be level with the clamps though but 30 degree ...
I dunno, wait for the prototype.
If this works I'll have you do guards too. I definetly need a second set of eyes ... my stuff is always perfect to me.

ok sounds good i will go out look at my bike and see about what a 30 degree bar without a rise would look/feel like. 

Davipu turned the 2 weld bars near vertical on an 02 BTW. You can do that with these too, but of course the handles will be pointed steep downward.5-10 degrees is good, 30 degrees is not. But 2 weld is a bit less radical than the 30 ... closer to 25.

Rohde88 - By 2 weeks be ready with about $100 ... I will powdercoat em for the final version, but the prototypes are getting bare steel. So if you wanna be a guinea pig, lemme know ... It should fit, just not as well or have as much of the cool stuff as the final versions.

I'll update everyone on the progress.

sweet.  I could be interested, but I'm a wuss and need to see it first.  I'm assuming this bar would handle 7/8" bar ends?  Think you can do a quick MSPaint drawing of it?

How much would a prototype be? I would love to be down just a bit but will put them on for a photoshoot and stuff I'll even do a video! If I don't like 'em well I'm sure there are other Twin members later on!

I only need 1 to prototype it, bassmechanicz is roped in for that, I have it jigged and cant make changes unless it hits stuff ...
I will meet my welder tommorow AM. I'll know then ...

However caseguards - OK I better make this one, then get on that, but yea need a guinea pig for that too.

Seriously I got time now and have the ability to scracth around @ my welders all day so I can get it done when he's between runs. I will mercilessly make em ... but people better buy stuff ...

Anyway watch my for sale posts ... there is couple comming then I have to make these ... too bad I cant do flanges now, cos in 05 the flanges and the bars were so good ... my welder like the flanges and case guards ... 04 and 05 ...

Yes they have to, the old ones I made in 04 didn't fit 04 ... and are very very easy to make. I am struggling just for the 04 thing ...

Well the waffling has begun ... my welder is sorta always been waffling on making bars ever since the grind and break incident with the bars back in 03 ...
I made the mistake of mentioning the bike for fitment, and he wants to do case guards.
I got a whole 3 days of 60 degrees and rain ... and a welder to fight with ...

Rohde - 60 was bars powdercoated (that may be non existent), 50 for shock shipped and I will open and test the one I got as soon as the torrential rain slows to a cats and dogs rain, and its yours if you want it. Later this week I would know if bars are getting made ... else I'd go with guards ... In fact I'd be happy to make guards, I may just get a different guy to make the bars cos they are jigged already ... bike was just for trial fitting ... the guards definetly need the bike ...

So watch this space, but dont get much hopes up ... I am hell bent on making somehting that eats up a lot of my time ... guards or bars or both ... and Whatever ... its getting made.

Cool, I plan on either getting bars + rear shock from you or rear shock + top clamp from another seller.

i can't get both, but one combo or the other.

My bars need that top clamp ... I also got top clamps laying about ... or maybe I cut em all ... dunno ... but buy bars and shock and I'll throw one in free ... if I ahve one intact. However the bars may have been inadvertently postponed.
