Hello I was wondering if someone has ever purchased a pair of Sidi Streetburner.  I currently have an old pair of Joe Rockets 3/4 boots. I was looking to upgrade and was wondering if anyone has ever tried these on.

Not those but I do have the Sidi B2s.  My only recommendation is to try them on at a dealer if you can to get the proper fit - there has been discussion on here before about what amounts of protection there are (and which boots provide it).

I will say this, I would gladly buy another Sidi product - they are extremely high quality.

I love Sidi boots. I've had them before, and they're likely what I'll buy next. Nothing against other boots, and not to say i wouldn't wear another pair of boots, but I think I just feel comfortable knowing I'll be satisfied with the Sidis.

That being said, I think calling them 3/4 boots is pushing it, they're half boots at most. I personally would call them high tops and would just pick some real boots instead of the streetburners. That kind of gear is meant for the people who otherwise wouldn't be willing to wear any gear, but companies make it so people can at least get some protection instead of a pair of skate shoes, which is at least better than nothing. The general crowd who's wearing shorts, bmx/dirtbike gloves, and has their helmet strapped to their back seat.

They have the pads so they'd keep your feet from getting too rashed up if you slid, but I mostly wear boots for the heal protection when you're getting tossed around like a rag doll, and in that case, those things aren't going to do much of anything for you.

Don't know about the Sidi boots, but if you're interested in the 3/4 style, my husband wears the Icon Accelerant shoes.  He loves them because he says they're comfortable and lightweight and he can still walk in them without looking like a duck.  Personally you'd never get me into a pair.  :nono:   I prefer good ankle and shin protection, that's why I wear Puma Roadster boots.  They fit well and are well made.  Only wish they had a bit more support laterally on the ankle, like their 1000v2, but I can't afford to buy those at $595.

Thanks everyone for all the comments.  I think I will just go with Sidi Vertigo boots.  They are only a few bucks more.

Good choice.  Vertigo Corsas will give you decent protection where Streetbuners won't, and they're on closeout now (although, looking at the Vortice, they have some dandy features that I would pay for if they fit).

I have vortice air's (thanks to RoadsterGal's recommendation) and they were $180 on eBay vs $475 new. Some rash on them but functional. I love them.
The local Suzuki shop sold Sidi, but was getting rid of the line in this crap economy, so everything was 50% off. Maybe you can find a similar deal?

But I think if you are *patient*, eBay is the way to get boots for $30 cents on the dollar.

My fiance thinks boots are stupid looking, but she tipped over he GS at a stop and her ankle still hurts 5 weeks later...

I think it looks goofy when people tuck their jeans into their boots, but other than that, you can't even see them if you're wearing pants like you're supposed to.

My old $200 sidi's sold on ebay for only $30  plus they were even waterproof. I've spent that much on cheap rubber rain boots from target since then. I'm gonna be mad about that for at least 10 years, unless I can find another pair for $30 for myself.
