Rejet done thanks GSTWIN

I added the wileyco pipe and k&n luchbox filter did the rejet.  Wanted to say thanks to everyone that posted without that I would not have gotten it done.
Bike runs much better I can't belive the difference.
Pilot 22.5, Mid 65 , Mains 147.5, Mixture screw 3.5 turns out

Even if the voices aren't real they have some good ideas.

What setup are you running? Jets, Washers, and Mixture Screw?

05 GS500F  this is what I did

Pilot 22.5
Mid 65
Mains 147.5
Mixture screw 3.5 turns out
I didn't use a washer on the needle . .couldn't find a 3mm washer at homedepot, autozone or advance autoparts  :dunno:

It's running great might be a little rich ( I'm not sure ) I'm going to check the spark plugs after a few days get some miles on it and see what color they are.  

BTW should I really shim the needle?  Just wondering what effect that would have.
Oh and I got all the stuff I needed for the rejet at www.sudco.com

Shiming the needle and putting in a larger mid speed jet have very similar effects.

I'd just re jetted mine too!  All stock, got the re jet kit from Buddha (22.5, 132.5, plus 2 washers).  I found that factory mixing screw already set to about 3 turns and a bit, so after drilling out the cap, I end up  setting the screw the same as was set at factory.

Even with all stock, I can see a big change after re jet.  Snapping the throttle the engine does not stumble as before (I think the washers help in this regard).  The engine sound fuller (not sure if I described it correctly), before the re jet it sounds very thin, like some one put a hand on the exhaust opening...

Anyway.  I am very surprised (work the 1st time), and happy (run much better, and don't have to spend another 3 hours working on it).  I'd to say 'thank Ya' to Buddha, and all the threads I read in this forum.

Thing to note: remove the fuel valve (ON\Reserve switch) help removing, and installing the air box easier.  make sure the gas tank is near empty when you do it, and putting back all the holes to the gas tank is tough unless you have a small hand, and a lot of patience.

I put new fuel lines on mine, about 3 inches longer than stock, made a BIG difference
