Here's a pic of a pic of my bike in front of a pic of a church. I'm sure there is some clergy down there somewhere in amongst the people which can be seen.

Bump.  Challenges that involve other people tend not to work.  That's what I found out at the other forum.

+1.

If another person Needs to be involved or permission needs to be granted or the target is mobile itself, then these challenges will likely not be completed.

My own personal rule with coming up with challenges is... only challenges *I* could complete. If I could not do the challenge myself I won't offer it up as a challenge. In this way, if noone else completes it and a new challenge is required, I'd complete it then put the new one out. That's MY way of thinking about it.

Ok, ok... I hear y'all.  I realy thought that this one wouldn't be that difficult, and that it might have been completed today since it's Sunday but it looks like it won't be done now.

In the interests of keeping the game going, I'm happy to drop the dependency on a third party.  How about simply "A pic of your bike in front of a church."

Next Challenge: Pic of your bike in a Taxi Bay/Rank - sign must be visible that says "taxi rank" or "taxis only" or whatever sign signifies it is a taxi bay/rank (Bonus point if cab is also in rank and cab driver does not go off at you. 2 bonus points if cabbie is standing next to your bike. A bag full of Kudos and multiple thumbs up if cabbie is holding sign that says "GSTWINS BIKE CHALLLENGE")

OIA?

Organization of Istanbul Armenians?

Office of Internal Affairs?

All trains stations and sporting venues have Taxi Ranks down here in Oz. And there is usually one near Major accommodation places as well. Why would a taxi rank be a life threatening place? Please elaborate... This OIA must be scary  :dunno_white:

Orlando International Airport?... If so, stay away with your camera. Go visit one elsewhere like near some strip shops or something.

Don't got 'em at the strip malls they just line up in the no parking area impeeding traffic! At Orlando International Airport 1) You can't stop or you will get a ticket (stopped my car to pick up a friend walked to the trunk walked back already a $60 ticket on the windshield) 2) You are playing Russian roulette with tourons from all over the world (#2 destination in the World following Vegas) 3) They'd probably stop you on suspicion of terrorism coming in on a bike no luggage or picking anyone up.

Like I said bowing outta this one!

That's cool.

Taxi system is obviously different in this country.

I don't expect anyone to do anything that's detrimental to their safety. Your safety first.

Its an interesting cultural commentary to me, now that several of our non-US members have been more active in this forum, to see what is "easy" and what is not in different places.  The taxicab one would be dead impossible here - this isn't a Taxi-friendly city.  I can see how, in other places, that one would be easier.

An interesting challenge, and I think it keeps the game alive!

Ah, Contrast, of course. The old fallback for the police to find those car number plates whose numbers cannot be seen too well from speed/redlight camera flash. I see it now too. That which was hidden is now revealed  8)

Michael, I am nearby - well around 980 clicks away - in Brisbane (Ipswich). So it's just a short 10 - 12 hour run down the New England and hopping onto the Putty Rd at Singleton. Come out at Windsor and nip on over to Penrith. When I lived down there had a GF in Springwood, worked at Wonderland and used to go Eeling at the Nepean off a side road off of Old Castlereagh Rd (side road is gone now due to all that Earth Works) and still have relatives in Londonderry. Next time I'm down there I hope to take a run out to Bilpin to have a look at that guy's Castle he built on his own land.

It's on Powells Road at Bilpin http://tinyurl.com/yeph7e2 and you can read a little about it here http://www.follytowers.com/bryants.html (I've got his phone number and he says if you want a personally escorted Tour of it, to call him to arrange it and he'll oblige). I reckon a run from Penrith to Lithgow then ride along Bells Line Rd down to Kurrajong and Richmond would be a nice Day Ride with a stop at the Castle. He reckons woman ask "What you building THAT for" and men just go "YEEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!"

As you can see the castle from the road, that'd make an interesting challenge  :icon_mrgreen:
