I've had to replace the fairings and front cowl on my gs500f and the rear left frame cover, ordered the parts from the dealer because the seller assured me that the graphics would already be placed on the plastics, ended up being completely wrong, the vinyl for the plastics doubled the plastic pieces, if I ordered the Suzuki emblems, wouldve spent three hundred more, also installed jardine rt 1 dj stage one with 132 mains, previous owner was running 130 mains with stock exhaust and intake, what are the stock jet sizes? Project went really smooth, just waiting on graphics to come in and project will be complete, thankgod for insurance.

A stock 04+ has 130 mains.
We put 132.5 and a washer under the needle and 20 pilots if you're running stock everythign else, or just a pipe.
Dunno what a DJ 1 has for needles but stock needles wotk fine with 132.5 mains with Jardine pipe.
Cool.

The bike looks way better without graphics.

I cant stand it without graphics, the plain white and blue is not cool, theres nothing to break the solid colors, plus its a big thing with my bank,  Had to fight to be able to do my own work instead of paying a bike shop to fix it.  The bike got backed into 10 hours before it was stolen, and with my deductible from my insurance company i wouldve had to  pay alot out of pocket to get it fixed. but from being backed into i got a lot of cash to do the mods.  Im really impressed with the kat shock and exhaust and jet kit, running rich right now because the K&N didnt come with longer screws to replace it, i think thats why its running rich, going to buy longer screws today to replace filter to adjust screws.  But it is a completely different bike now.

Why don't you try some other graphics  :dunno_white:  Can be much cheaper than stock and you can distinguish your bike from others! Like in my avatar!

Of course I am now doing something different pics soon to come.

Since I still have a lien on it,  I have to get the bike back to the condition it was in when i bought it or the bank won't release the insurance funds for it and put it towards the lien.  So I have to get it fairly original.  I got plans with the old plastics, might rattle can them for different occasions. just for fun.

Me and a buddy rejetted the carbs and put on the Jardine system and K&N replacement filter.  While riding the bike seems to delay acceleration around 5 or 6 thousand RPMs.  My buddy says its running rich, which he knows more about this than I do.  We used the Stage one Kit from Dyno-Jet and he wants to go back to the stock size jet.  We are running the 132 mains.  I'm curious as to  what others think the problem is.

you're running rich!
132 mains from DJ kit are OK (tiny bit on the lean side) for free flowing pipe and K&N LUNCHBOX. Did you order lunchbox or replacement for original filter that goes into airbox??
You need lunchbox if you want to run DJ 132 mains. I had that setup and it worked quite OK, but I got rid of DJ anyway - it's crap and because they use different numbering than mikuni it's very hard to adjust it properly, and find help on this forum.
My advice: go back to stock needles and get some larger mikuni jets. If you want you can buy jet kit from 'buddha'
