Ok what we have here is the only thing holding you back to SUPER air intake factors and one badass K&N decal to stick on your scratched up fairing.  It is the lunchbox filter sold for the GS500 and it's yours for the low low price of JACK ____.

Yep, I'm asking nothing for it.  But as always, there's a catch.  A pretty big catch.

You see I moved last month and in the process of moving, this brand new filter got sandwiched.  For a month.  Until I found it under the folded down seat.

So, one side is flat.

You're probably asking:  well, will it still work?  Will the flatness impair the airflow?  Will it still fit on the carbs?  My response:  I DO NOT KNOW.  I won't promise that it will fit fine with a bit of tough love.  Maybe you can flex it out with some time.  Maybe it's also worthless.  No idea.  All I know is that it's going in the trash unless one of you fix-it types chimes in and wants it.

The other catch is that you'll pay shipping.  I'm not going to rip you off, whatever it costs to ground ship it is what you'll pay.  I don't mind being out the cost of the filter but I'll be damned if I'm also gonna pay to give it to you.  If you're local you can have it scott free.

WTF medevac ... stuff 2 pieces of PVC pipe in the mouth ... cram it deep enough to push the back into approximate right location and let it sit a few hours while you use a heat gun or somehting that would lightly warm it to ~200-250. Good as new. In fact bring it over, I'll do it for you on these DOA carbs.

Haha yeah but remember I didn't change the carbs and I'm running the stock exhaust so I'm just bailing on the whole idea.  My plan was to sell the filter but I could not in good conscience sell a half-waffle lunchbox for any sort of money.  The bike karma Gods would not like that.

So I'm giving it away to someone that will actually use it and pass along some good will.

Although if you would have given me a beer I might would have made the trip to NC to watch you blow.  Blow dry my filter I mean.  Don't go getting any ideas on me now...

Yea beer is always available ... now that its winter, it may be cold too ... usually I only put 1 in the fridge, I only drink 1 a day.
So, I have offered "the" beer to people who come by ...

Anyway you want me to fix the filter and give you beer or you dont want either ... what sorta logic is that.

BTW I cannot find my heat gun ... so you're SOL ... I been wanting to melt up some plastic and I cannot find it.

"the" beer?  So it's like a way to ration it out?  Because I would see myself drinking the one...then just powering down the rest warm.  My logic is flawless!  Maybe drunkmonkey will drive down and let you do it but you better stock up on "the" beers.  You know, him being a drunk monkey and all.

Its a way of saving fridge space. I drink a very sediment heavy beer, and I keep a few right side up in the door, But one of those is shaken like mad, and inverted a day prior. That drops the sediment into the top.
