Since my GS was in a bad crash the front fork lowers have a crack in them and oil is leaking out, to but new ones its going to cost me over $700 AU to replace. Im going to a few wreckers tomorrow to find something i can use. Is there any other bikes that are either a direct fit (fork lowers/whole front end) or are very close?

Thanks in advance.

The original Honda CBR600 F1 Hurricanes are supposed to have the same diameter fork tubes so they will slide into the GS triple clamp.  You'd have to get the entire front end assembly with the brakes, wheel, fender...  I have not personally tried them yet but werase643 told me it worked on his bike.  He said the brake lines may be too short if you don't use the CBR's clip ons.  I have a CBR front end sitting in the garage for Kay's bike.  I'm supposed to be stripping a parts bike Friday, if I have time I'll stick the CBR front end in that bike and get some pics.  Good luck!

from what I learned here, any year will do on the fork tubes.  I just put a set of 06 tubes on my 00 after a bad crash.  I buckled the tubes badly
