If you have been looking for an easy way to open your garage door and don't want to pay 70 bucks for those headlight units, I found a simple write up on how to modify a garage door opener and mount it on your bike. http://www.biketweakers.com/garagedooropener.html

Just locate the connection of the original button, solder on two short cables and route them to the outside of the case. Find a place to mount a small push button or other type of switch. Find a mounting place for the original garage door remote. use quick connectors to connect the cables and you are good to go. I chose to mount the push button right under the kill switch, took a lot of fiddling but i got it to fit, and secure the remote under the seat.

I did the same thing but I ran the wires through the stock wire sleeve and put the remote in the headlight bucket.
