I changed some shims yesterday using the west coast kit.

I was able to get all the clearances in spec but they are not even from left to right.

Left ex. is .05 and right ex. is .09

Left int. is .06 and right int. is .03

That's the best I could do with the shims available combined with a high level of laziness.

In spec is in spec. Trying to make them match is veering into tuner country. There may be people who are custom-grinding valve shims to make them match, but nobody needs to. They only come in units of 0.05mm stock, so...

GSJack does suggest running the exhaust loose for better valve cooling (&life), including perhaps running them a bit looser than spec and lowering your redline. Up to you.

Looser tends to make that characterstic chatter. I dont mind it, except it prevents me from hearing everything else, say you have a different chattering noise as your ignition rotor starts to hit the stator ... sooner you hear that, the better chance of opening it and fixing it before you get full blown goats.
Cool.
