dang. i would hate life itself if i had that bike. why? you say? is it cause its old? no. cause it hasnt been maintenced in a while? no. cause its being running with no milk its whole life? not that either. its because of the seat latch bracket position.  As if getting the airbox on the carbs wasnt enough of a pain already for motorcycle mechs, they decided to put that seat mount right in front of it, almost like its locking it in place.  Although, at least with this bike, you can just set the airbox in, and you dont have to slide in between the frame, and remove the frame petcock just to get it somewhat posistioned. hey, now that i think about it, the seat frame there wouldnt even make a big deal at all.  this bike has be an easy airbox to remove. Man, i wish i had this bike. if i had this i would love my life!  Carbs look easy to get at too!

I've always kinda liked those bikes, not really sure why. I think sportbikes look much better when they've got some curve to them, as opposed to the old kawasakis that were really boxy. Suzuki has always made good looking bikes, especially those katanas from the early 80's

Here are some pics after i spent a little time on it.

NO! Not apple juice. Apple juice won't work a all. It HAS to be milk. Skim milk. BUT, if you don't want to buy skim milk, just buy Normal Milk and add water - that's all the milk factory does.

Not Apple juice, it's iced tea. That's what the moonshiners used to race circles around johnny law during prohibition. Or was it moonshine....

How have you guys managed to drag that awful joke out this long?!

GSX600_Bmore

Yeah... that milk joke. I don't get it.

Can not wait for finals to be over so I can really start wrenching on this thing. After this week you can find me in my garage with a space heater, sixxer of beer, and tools. Maybe a radio too. :D

Well by all means let me know if you need help.  I'll work on sixxer and you work on the baby gixxer.

And to chime in on the important discussion here.  I only use synthetic milk.  Anything else is living in the stone age and will destroy your bike.

Oh... yeah... no powdered milk - skim or other. The powder cannot handle the heat and will fall out of solution if the milk heats up. It will fall out and sit at the bottom in clumps like cottage cheese. So no powdered milk.

Looking good. What the black stuff you used on the crack? and what's that thing in your hand in the 2nd to last picture? I'd like to get a plastic welder someday for that kinda stuff, but my bike doesn't currently have any real plastic on it aside from the undertail and the front fender, so no real need for it yet!

Chanse

looks like he melted an abs black zip tie onto the crack
Current project:
Mmotos full body kit (YOU DONT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM... READ MY THREAD BOOT STATE UPDATE)
K&N Lunchbox
Buddah's jets
CBR F2 rearsets
Ducati pass pegs (Modified)
Kat rear wheel
Carbon Fiber Exhaust Can, possibly shortened and relocated
And so on......

GSX600_Bmore

Yup, I just used a black zip tie, and the thing in my hand in the second to last picture is just a simple butane lighter. Best to used for it's concentrated flame.
