Well done. Just did Sydney to Rockhampton and back myself as my last P plate ride (provisional licence). I agree that maybe a 17 or 18 tooth might have made the ride a little more enjoyable and fuel economical. Did you use ear plugs? I did and will not do a long trip with out them again lol

If I'm going to be doing any highway riding I always wear earplugs.
The more I learn about women, the more I love my bike.

I tried to but I just used those disposable foam ones. They made a drumming type sound which was worse than the exhaust and wind noise. So I stopped using them. I don't recommend riding long distances without ear plugs. My ears would ring nearly every night.

I now have finally found an earplug that is comfortable under my helmet (I tried alot of different ones)

They look like blu-tak but it is made from Bees Wax. You just sort of mould them into your ear canal. They work better than anything I have tried, even better than most ear muffs.

I got them from the US from their website:

I wont do a trip any longer than an hour without them.

Did any parts fall off the bike? Like nuts and bolts or the trip meter knob etc
