Hi,

I've just finished cleaning my carbs and reassembling everything. Now the bike is difficult to start.
When I got it started it ran fine but with an occasional misfire followed by a short "pfft" sound. Kinda like the sound of air escaping fast.
What's going on?

Carb boots on securely? Bumped a hose somewhere?

You can try running it and spraying starter fluid(??) around the carb and if the revs jump you have an air leak
'04 F to an E to a wreck to a Wee Strom?
HEL stainless brake lines
15W fork oil
Kat 600 Rear shock
K&N drop in and Buddha jets
It wants me to go brokedie.

how much oil did you put in? should be 3 quarts for e model 3.5 for f model with oil cooler, too much oil will cause excess crank case pressure

Solved it!

OK, it was completly my own fault.  :embarrassed:
I had just cleaned and synced the carbs and everything was running perfectly with the carbtune attached. I then realized that I forgot to reinstall the vacuum rubber plugs  :cookoo:
Why did'nt I check that before? Would have saved me several hours...
