I am looking at purchasing a GIVI A755 fairing for my 1996 GS.  I will have to buy it whilst overseas in New Zealand as the Aussie distributor doesn't have any in stock.  This means I won't be able to do a fit check until my return in Aus.  If you have fitted one of these please let me know and mention any mods you needed to make to get a good fit.

Thanks in advance

I've got an A755 fairing on my bike.  No mods were needed to get it on, and it fit well.  Things to watch for: the brackets for the fairing attach to the fairing body and are adjustable at that point.  Since it's a curved surface, both the width and 'angle' between fairing bracket and headlight bracket change as you move the brackets.  A lot of little adjustments are needed to make it go okay.  Oh, and if you tilt the fairing so it gets close to your gauge pod, might want to put a little foam between that and the fairing to make sure it doesn't vibrate.  The fairing is quite solid though at speed.

I am interested in this as well as I have to pick between the two as well - I believe from reading other posts the 755 offers more protection than the 750 and that the size and shape of the 755 made it look a better fit on the GS.  I would also really love to hear other opinions.

I think the Givi fairings are some of the best looking for the GS.  Other people might like the complete solid or smoked F-16 fairings, but I like Givis better.  If I had to do it over though, I might spring for the new A770.  Since I am tall, the A755 doesn't quite give me the protection I want on the highway.  The A760 is way too big though.  It seems that the A770 has the height of the A750 with a similar shape as the A755.
