I have a little Lifan quad I'm working on...the engine is a horizontal Honda clone...like the engines in CT Trail bikes.  He brought it to me with the clutch slipping real bad.  I pulled it all apart and installed a new clutch...thing ran and pulled awesome.  Gave it back to the owner and a couple days later he brought it back...same problem.  The install was done correctly, not using synth oil...is there an element outside of the clutch that could cause this problem?

The only thing I know about the bike service-wise is that it never was.  Serviced, that is.  When I took the first clutch out the stuff in the engine couldn't be classified as oil...based on consistency, maybe grease.  I flushed the case, though, so I can't see too much debris causing issues.

Check the adjustment screw, then make sure the kid isn't riding the shifter while running the bike, if he is that constant slip will smoke the clutch in short order.

I've check the adjustment and it seems to be where it needs to be.  The bike doesn't have a shifter, though...clutch drives the ouput sprocket directly.

That's a new one on me, normally there is a 4 speed gearbox in those Lifans.  Not sure what to advise then?
