So less than 24 hours of installing my new windscreen, the rain starts to pour and my motorcycle slips from under me while making a u-turn scratching my new F-15 windscreen. ::tear::

Is there anyway to fix it besides covering it up?

If it is a light scratch you could probably use a plastic headlight lens buffing kit.

depends on how deep that scratch it, If the windscreen is clear than i would say start with a lightly aggressive compound and an random orbital with a 5" or smaller cutting pad, medium speed, if some of the scratch is going away and some just seems to stay, i would take some 2000 grit to it, REAL LIGHT, and only the scratched part. (use skinny part a painters stir stick, wrapped in 2000 grit to work only the damaged part) then back over with the compound, follow with a polish, then sealant.it should turn out well if you take you time!!! good luck

I would say wetsanding and then buffing with a compound made for plastics would be best. Start with 1500 grit if the scratch is deep, 2000 if it's not that bad. Move up to 2500 and finish with 3000 grit wetsand paper. 3M makes a good headlight restoration buffing compound that will polish the plastic after being dulled from the wetsanding back to a glossy shine.
