I'm just wondering what it costs to paint the motorcycles fairings and other plastic pieces?  I figure that it wouldn't cost much say around $300 or so.  I have a 93' GS500E.

Painting a bike shouldn't be real expensive if you do it yourself but it will take alot of time.

I just used Krylon spray gray primer and krylon spray cans for outdoor plastic/multi surface.  (gray is the best color primer as far as stickyness and durability, but if your doing a light color you should use white primer.)





I didnt use blue, but thats the pic i found. i did flat black no clear coat, have spily gas, and stabil on it a few time with no problems.  the flat is more suceptable to scracthes though

the thing is if you use flat black then you can't really clear it otherwise it turns semi but it would be nice to have the protection of the clear coat though.   

yea, i didnt use a clear, but just the flat has held up fine to the spills ive had on it.  and it even held up to me cleaning the inside, with (metal-magnetic, not brass or aluminum) nuts, and about every type of chemical i could find in my shop.  bleech, spitfire, carb cleaner, brake parts cleaner, loosen-it, WD-40, gasoline, brake fluid, all kinds of of just mixed chemicals to help break up the rust, lol.  and my paint is fine
