What's the max temperature my 96 gs500 exhaust will get up to? Need to know to buy high temp paint.

Can't answer your question but a lot of people on here have had good luck with gas grill paint.

The hardware section had black paint that would go up to 1500. Wasn't sure whether to buy or not. I'd like to do thermal wrap but I'm a cheapass.

Is it glowing? If no, the temp is under 1000 F, so stove paint/high temp paint will work
