really it has 15000 on it and you don't know it has six speeds!

He is probably thinking that it shifts 5 times so that must be home many gears. :cookoo:
If it was easy, someone else would do it.

I used to have a friend with a yamaha 600r that just wouldn't go into 6th gear. One day we were riding on the highway and all of a sudden it started shifting into 6th and he never had the problem again. Maybe something's wrong with his transmission and it only goes into the 5th gear, and over time he just forgot there used to be a 6th.

honestly i just think that is how some people translate 1 down and 5 up.  Nevermind that 1 is down N is in the middle and 2-6 are up, that is just too confusing, its easier to call if a 5 speed :icon_lol: :icon_lol:

Not naming names but I know someone else on this board that wouldn't believe me that the GS had 6 speeds...
