Hey guys, I have a quick one here. I am geting new tires mounted tomorrow. How does the balancing work for bike tires? I have read on here that the rotors can stay on and they balance them with them. What about the sprocket and cush drive? Should I pull all that out? And if I do pull it out anything I need to be aware of?

Thanks guys.

Leave it all on. Everything that spins when you're moving should be on to spin when it's being balanced since it all affects the weight.

If you're having it done there's not much you need to know. Just take your wheels and tires in and they'll take care of the rest for you. You should know it's much cheaper to carry your wheels/tires in, as opposed to showing up with your bike and the tires. They'll charge you double if they have to take your wheels off.

Leave the sprocket carry at home. It is not needed for balancing and very difficult to balance (if at all) with the the wheel. Cones are used in the outer bearings to center the wheel. The carrier is not centered to the wheel without an axle to align all of the bearings. Its small diameter diameter does not affect the balance.
Common sense in not very common.

aliright. Sounds like am showing up with all of it and asking them if they want it on or off.  Thanks guys.

It just pulls out by hand, they'll have no problem taking it out if it's in their way.
