Just thought I would put it out there if anyone knew any good places for second hand parts in Sydney.

E bay is not as good as it used to be and ordering stuff from overseas the postage kills anything that would be cheap.

Thanks in advance

Unfortanty most of the bike wreckers around will still charge you the same or more then an OS order. I generally still buy from OS when looking for parts just got the genuine clip ons from the GS500E from the UK the whole to plate and bars for 99p mind you its costing 50 pounds to get here but still cheaper then what a wrecker in my local area wanted to charge me early last year.
So sorry can't really recommend anyone but you could try Liverpool motor wreck they werent to bad but still costly :thumb:

The only place I have found in Sydney that carries many GS parts is Metropolitan in Silverwater.  As has been said, they aren't cheap though - when I went looking for a replacement rear shock it was still cheaper to pay the $70 postage and have one sent from the US.  I ended up getting a newer better condition item, too.

It would seem that it's a sellers market in Sydney, because us poor plebs don't have a lot of alternatives.  The guy on the phone pretty much said that, "if you don't like the price you won't get it anywhere else"  >:(

Thanks alot for the recommendations. I had heard of those 2 but was hoping there might be more choice and maybe cheaper prices than buying from overseas where as has been pointed out the postage hurts a bit.

I guess its back to the web to find the stuff I might need
