Who listens to music while riding?

I've noticed that I focus more and I am more confident when I listen to music.

I installed speakers in my helmet and listen to music if im riding somewhere more than 30 minutes away.

It seems to really cut down of fatigue on long trips.

Whenever i hit a lot of traffic or get into the inner city I turn off the music though.

How loud do you have it?! I mean I've pretty uncomfortable if I don't have ear plugs in for a long time much less music loud enough that I can hear over the racket of the wind and bike.

So short answer is no I don't...
'04 F to an E to a wreck to a Wee Strom?
HEL stainless brake lines
15W fork oil
Kat 600 Rear shock
K&N drop in and Buddha jets
It wants me to go brokedie.

I have it slightly louder than when the engine sits at idle.

I've noticed that I focus more and I am more confident when I listen to music.

Not on the bike, but I do have my iPod/music at the gym.   I work out much longer and much harder with music that I like!
On those days when life is a little too much and nothing seems to be going right, I pause for a moment to ponder the wise last words of my grandfather:  "I wonder where the mother bear is?"

I listen to Casting Crowns, Switchfoot, Tenth Avenue North... alot of CCM music. For me it is uplifiting and gives me my me time with God. It also helps me relax and focus more.

I also listen to Classical if I'm stuck in the I-4 parking lot!

I ride to get away from all that.. Just me and the road. Nothing worse to me than when some tool on a big cruiser w/ a stereo is blairing some country or sothern rock crap loud enough that the whole block can hear it  :icon_twisted:

I did the Sirius mount on my bike last year. Only use it on longer rides. The helmet speakers work pretty well. I can hear the music and/or talk radio and still hear what's going on around me.

I listen with one earbud most of the time. It's only when I'm on a very technical ride with highly-skilled riders that I don't listen so that I can focus 100% of the time.  :woohoo:

And for the record, I've never pandy'd my baby while listening to music.  :flipoff:

I use my zune with some skull candy in-ear buds.  They cost between $10 and $20 depending on where you buy them, and if they're on sale.

The in-ear buds act like ear plugs, and they aren't uncomfortable under the helmet.  They block out ambient noise so I don't have to turn up my player much.  I usually have it somewhere between 3 and 6...on a 30 point volume scale.
Something is wrong with my twin...all of a sudden it's V shaped!  Wait, no, now it's a triple!  ...and I IZ NOT a postwhore!
