I think you missed one.  Hint: Whats the name of this Message Forum?

Anyway, do bikes that you have gotten rid of and then wanted another of the same count?  How about Mopeds?  If so, I had a Tomos APN 6 as a kid that I would love to have again.

I don't think there's too many people on this forum with extensive bike collections. There's not too many bikes I feel like I'd hold onto forever, nor do I have the space to. If I track down a Buell xbs this summer like I'm hoping, I doubt I'll ever get rid of it, but other than that I don't usually hold onto things all that long. I also have a Tomos moped that my wife brought home for me that I don't think she'll ever let me get rid of, so I can put that on the list. I also have a bicycle I doubt I'll be getting rid of any time soon.

aye i rode an xbs as a loaner for a week a while back. FUN. hunting a road bike methinks, for my engine, take the engine off my trek, and put it there. it is my transportation now. so it aint goin nowhere. even when i get my DL back, it isnt. its growin on me lol 70mpg at 40mph. now i need to get good brakes and tires for it. bicycle brakes are about worthless at those speeds lol

You need some better brakes. Most road bike brakes are ridiculous now a days. Every time I ride other bikes for a long time and then hop back on my road bike I feel like I'm gonna flip over the bars. I definitely have no problem slowing down from 40mph, and think they'd be fine even faster than that, although the pads would wear down in a hurry.

I live in the city, so even with a car, motorcycle, and a moped, I still ride my bicycle 99% of the time. It's just completely impractical to try anything else.
