I couldn't find the info on the search that i need.  What I'm looking for and wanting to do is use a sv 650 headlight on my 2005 gs500f.  I'm unsure of what parts i need though.  I would thing it would be the headlight unit and two brackets.  I'm mainly confused as to what brackets work best.  I'm also planing on mounting a small windshield later too. thanks

O.C.D.

He said an F model.

In that case you will need a complete housing as well.  You will also need brackets from an earlier E GS or even SV ones.  I will tell you right now that the naked housing and SV headlight do not go together like in Pablo's write-up.  I may have got the wrong one but i doubt it.  I had to mod the whole housing and SV light to make it fit.  As it stands, I may not be able to place any of the wiring in the head like before.  But, that doesn't mean not to do it.  :thumb:

thanks for the info.  I use to ride a fz6 and love the quarter or half half fairing on that bike.  So for now im going to cut the full fairing in about half and see how it turns out.  I will see if i can get me buddy with a good camera to take a few picks of it when its done.  I think the fairing looks cheep as a full.  i bet it will look better with a half fairing.  I tried  to find pics to see if any  one has does this before, but i didnt see any.
