On my 1991 GS500, there are some stains on the frame just below the gas tank. While trying to remove one of the stains. I, very stupidly, went right to the bare metal. I have now learned how thin the paint & primer are. So what works in removing the stains or do I have to learn to live with them?

I'm going to order a Color-Rite kit to fix my blunder, but are there any other options?

What exactly were you trying to clean the stain with?? Try some simply green and a rag. Otherwise you should just paint the whole frame black so it'll look sweet, and you won't have to worry about the stains.
