I like the silver frame on this bike, usually i like black, but the silver makes it look more like a motoGP bike. i dont know if anyone else thinks about motoGP when they see it but i do. only in silver. the black frame with your particular setup reminds me of a moderatley overweight 24 year punk who does wheelies down highways and doesnt give a oh my goodness about other people on the road.

cosmiccharlie

I've decided I like the silver better too. It's hard to tell what the black would really look like by looking at the Photoshop. If i ever tear it apart again I may try the black frame, but I don't forsee the bike coming apart for quite some time.

I'm partial to the black as well.  Probably because mine's black.  Oh, and if it hides that dent in the frame, all the better!  :thumb:

Pictures of the cover to hide the empty space between the tail light and frame.  And new tag mount.  Just need to wire in a light for the tag.

I like it all!  Paint that filler piece black and it will look even better.

Who makes the eliminator kit?  I notice it has the mount/holes for the Ducati license light.

Hah, that El Cheapo is a stamped piece bent twice on a brake and that guy is making bank of em.  I like it for 60% less than mine, lol.

$40! That's ungodly expensive for a piece of metal. I've never even considered buying a plate mount when all it takes is a $9 piece of sheet metal from home depot, a couple minutes with a cutting wheel and a file or some sand paper, and a couple minutes of bending, and I'm good to go. I guess with both of your major projects, what's another $40 though, right?

Worm

This project is awesome! It's giving me all kinds of ideas. I like how much effort you put into making it look almost factory! I'm looking forward to the pictures of the new muffler on the bike.

get an integrated taillight, $70 or so, motodynamics,
also, have you thought about a seat cowl, that would clean up the rear end a bit...

ps I don't know what you're doing for mirrors, but I just got a set of these

they are rizoma reverse retro knockoffs and look pretty sweet

I thought about the taillight, but I am probably not going to spend $70 on a taillight anytime soon.  Maybe later on.  It will have a seat cowl, just haven't bought one yet.  They are pretty pricey and I am trying to get the bike "finished" and on the road this summer.  Thanks for the suggestions.

cosmiccharlie

Finally got a seat cowl.  Looks so much better, even with the wrong color paint!

O.C.D.

Yup, I took the wife out the other day so the cowl came off.  Been siting there since (without it) and I hate the look.  These seats definitely look better with cowls.  I think you need to paint your bike yellow now!!!  :woohoo:

do you predict any dangers of the front brake line that is looping over the tire?

the bike looks amazing. how long has it been since you've fired it up and taken a ride?

super gold to match the forks and rims! cowl gold, tank gold (black out the suzuki lettering and leave the silver/black strip to match the frame and seat) haha

just a random thought =]

edit: you took off the front fender and you also took off the rear hugger? or did you just have it mocked up before and that'll go back on once youre ready for permanence?
