Hey,

Has anybody tried these pegs from ebay?

They're GSXR rear pegs, so theoretically they'll work right?  I'm liking these more than the one's on the wiki because the gap in the middle opens up the opportunity to spring load them, me thinks.

Thanks!

Looks like exactly what you need. I spent a while cutting, grinding and filing to put springs on the other style gsxr peg, but those do look considerably easier. Only one way to find out!

Think these are the same as mine. But, I got them from Intergalatic pre sanded.

sorry for the cruddy cell phone pic

Mary I can't quite tell from the picture, but does it have the forked ( U shaped or whatever) mount or is it solid like this?

Ahh yeah it is solid! Sorry, but they work really well! Gotta pick up a pair for the rear at some point.

If you get them let us know how they fit. I'm very interested if I don't have to grind for the rear set.

the ones with the gap in the middle is too wide.  you need the ones for the rear

The ebay posting says they are the rear pegs. I'd be willing to bet they just uploaded the wrong picture. They probably figured no body would care about that part. Try emailing the seller to ask if it's the correct picture or not.

didnt catch the rear part of the listing.  I personally wont buy from anyone on ebay if the picture doesnt match the listing title.  I may just be anal about that though

do you have any pics of your results? I hate having my pegs come up at a stoplight when I put my feet down!

Good catch guys, looking at the picture again and comparing it to other front and rear pegs, the split ones must be front pegs. :(

Looks like I'll be grabbing the other ones and doing some grinding...

I know I took pictures of the entire process, but I can't seem to find them now. It was pretty easy to do. There are already holes in the pegs where the spring/bearing would go on the passenger peg. I just got one of those heavy duty safety pins from the specialty hardware drawers at home depot, cut the top half off, bent it a little, and stuck it in after I ground the peg a little thinner. Works pretty well. They're no where near as strong of springs as what comes on most bike pegs, but it's enough to push the peg back down when you lift it up, so it works, and I don't have to worry about it getting stuck in the up position.
