You can use a clutch cable from any year GS, I'm not sure about other bikes though. If you're going to replace a clutch cable, it's worth just buying a new one though.

As far as the brake lever, again you can use one from any year GS, but there aren't any lever from other bikes that fit.

Most other Suzuki levers are interchangeable. Its one of the + of the GS in that so many other parts can be grafted on.

Clutch side: all cable actuated clutch levers with the same tensioner are compatible.  The cable IS of a specific length, but the ends are pretty much Suzuki parts-bin standard. Your best bet is probably a early air cooled GSXR-750, Katana, or Bandit-600's.  Tight or too short is a no-go, but to long will require a bit of creative running.  Best to just get a new, model specific one.  You never know just how much life is left in a used cable.

Brake side: Nissin master cylinders from the eighties up til I think 99 from GSXRs and all years, GS-500s (naturally) and GSF and Bandits are swappable. The only real difference between them is if and the number of adjustment positions on the lever.

Beyond OEM, this opens up the range of aftermarket levers and parts that can be sourced.

Aftermaket like EMGO direct replacement and the trick ones from Piazzo etc.

Basically, all late eighties to mid nineties Suzuki levers will fit across their products, so long as you line up cable clutch to cable clutch etc.

I don't know how much they charge for shipping to Aus.. but bikebandit.com has clutch cables for the GS for like $20.. and everything thing else you could need for it.  I just bought a clutch cable from them and it is Genuine Suzuki Parts.

The brake lever on my bike is from a Kawasaki zx (can't remember the number, I think it was 600), they are pretty much universal. Make sure you put a bit of grease on it when you put it on and there's no problems.
