I had an interesting experience while riding yesterday, i had just finished correcting the amount of air in both my tires and had been riding for about 3 minutes when all of the sudden i noticed that twisting the throttle was not really doing much and the bike was slowing down. The engine was still running at this point and then bike started to buck a little, so I pull in the clutch lever and then the engine completely dies. After getting it started and having it die again a few times i noticed that putting the fuel valve on PRI instead of ON seemed to fix the problem. Anyone have any ideas as to what my issue could be?

When did you last put gas in the tank?  Did you try switching to RES?

from what i can tell the tank still has about 2/5 worth of gas in it.

Not a good indicator by sight on this bike. It can look like you still have fuel in there but it isn't enough. Use your trip meter for gas usage.

I bet filling it up will correct your problem.
