Some of us are snow/cold bound, well us here in Brisbane are heat bound :(   No riding was done on the wekeend as we set a new Feb record temp, a nice warm 41.7 degrees celsius (107 degrees fahrenheit) here in Brisbane Australia.  With humidity right up there too :x   Just looking at the helmet resulted in yet another change of clothes...

Bring on winter I say

I spent the weekend at Straddie - diving in 27 degree water. It was great. Probably only about 35 degrees on the island, with nice breezes.
After I got back Sunday afternoon I went to a ride to kangaroo point for a barbeque in the heat though, which did suck.

Saturday was nasty in ACT - the only place comfortable was a shopping centre (with blasting A/C) or on the back of the bike. At least there I had wind-chill.

Then yesterday it decided to be cold and rain for some strange reason. Lovely stuff...

The only benefit to being at work is the free A/C and a nice fat net connection. Good luck boys - autumn's just around the corner!

As you prey for relief from the heat we pray for warmth!  My say I don't want as much as you have.  Good gad you'd be a toasting marshmellow riding on a day like that!  Crispy on the oustide - melted completely on the inside!

Stay cool!  Better yet - send the extra heat to us northern hemisphere folks.

It's getting pretty warm around here too..

can you imagine I left home for work on saturday (carpooled today) wearing nothing but my jeans, thermals, a t-shirt, leather jacket, helmet, and gloves?  Didn't even put on my windproof froggtoggs.  Wasn't cold the whole way there....  checked the temperature when I got to work (40 miles away in a different valley) and it was almost 35 degrees (F) out there.

Definitely warming up around here.  Most rides to work have been between 12-20.

Great news! I just saved a bundle on car insurance by switching to a motorcycle!

Except for rain over the weekend, we have riding weather just about every day.  Sweet!  8)
