Hello everyone...nice forum you have here.  I just bought a 07 gs500f that had been wrecked at some point and then turned into a GS500e.  Anyways, the blinkers act differently.  The right side blink normal (kinda slow) but on the left side they blink faster.  They are not real fast though but definitely faster than the right.  All the bulbs look fine so anyone have any ideas for something to start checking?  I am not sure what blinkers were put on in the front but one of the lens is broken.  I try and get a pic of it and hopefully someone will recognize it enough for me to find a replacement.  Thanks.

are they the stock blinkers, or aftermarket?  even if stock, make sure all the light bulbs are the same wattage rating.  as ones with lower wattage will blink faster

My stock blinkers change speed when one of the bulbs burn out.

EDIT : Sorry, I'm a dumba$$, I didn't notice you said the bulbs look fine. The bulbs on my bike used to blink at different rates. In March I replaced all of the blinker bulbs at once with the identical type and now they blink at the same rate. I didn't inspect the old bulbs but they very well may have been different watts.

You may have a dual filiment lamp that has blown one element or perhaps its not pulling as much current as the other thus making the blinker relay think the bulb is blown.

Take the lenses off and look at the bulbs to see if they look the same and their ratings are the same. Replace anything that looks odd.

I took out the front bulbs and noticed one of the 3 wires on the left had bare wire showing.  I took out the headlight to free up the wires and found that the black wire soldered to the brass ring in the lamp housing had busted loose.  Resoldered and they all blink equally now.

Here is a pic of the busted turn signal lens...anyone recognize what bike it might be off of?

I've got the same problem on my bike.  My rear blinkers are aftermarket, and both the left and right blinkers seem to vary.  Sometimes both sides will blink slowly, sometimes one side fast, sometimes both sides fast.  Now I know what to look for.

I have to try and get it taken care of soon, too, because my road test is coming up, and I have a feeling that the evaluator won't like the idea of inconsistent blinkers.

I found a set on eBay that appear to be an exact match.  However, when I go to search for just the lens for a cb550/750 they all appear different.

I'm having blinker problems myself, but slightly different. My lights blink at the same (assumely correct rate) but the ALL blink!! ALL FOUR!! no matter whether i'm turning my left blinkers on or my right. Has anyone experienced this and know whats the deal?  They are all new after market LED lights from ebay. I've never had a problem with them on any of my other 5 bikes (lol). Simple plug and play type lights. Two wires (male) into two wires (female).  O0
