I was gonna reply with a statement about my satisfaction with the Danger Suit, but then realized it might come across kinda egocentric.
The thing's expensive, and not everyone can afford it.
I'm very lucky that I can, and don't want to insult people that can't.

-the waterproof liner leaks in the crotch, therefore it's not waterproof

Well if there was any way to go about wording that to insult people who can't afford the suit, that would be it.

...and because you insulted us, I will respond with: are you sure it's the suit that's the problem?? Another problem comes to mind.

haha don't worry about it man, after everyone getting over a couple people just buying Ducati's, no one's gonna get too worried about the suit. Some people choose to ride a $4000 wearing a $1000 suit, some people choose to ride a $9000 bike wearing a jacket and some jeans. We all still ride GS500s so no one's gonna assume anyone here is too rich for their own good.

You ride $9000 suits?

You should start asking for tips.  Might afford your own Danger Suit, then.  Or Ducati, or whatever else you're so jealous about.

Ha ha!  Just kidding!

tt_four

ha, fixed it. I'm good with typos.

No Ducati's for me. They're pretty but have never really done anything for me. If I wanted a flashy ride it would be an MV Agusta. I'd still be wearing jeans and a riding jacket though.

My Danger Suit:

What are you blacking out where the gauges should be in this picture?
Check out my current project build:

My old lady set her purse up there to take the picture, and I didn't want some wacko giving me a hard time about it.

I was a jeans/jacket kinda guy too, for a while.
The girls used to love this:  (except with a black helmet and visor)

Guy in a Mustang laughed and called me alternative lifestyle man, once, but his girl was making eyes at me.

I just figure, I can take off the Danger Suit whenever I want.  I can't put on new skin.
$1300 is cheaper than having a titanium hip replacement.

Plus, it's a conversation piece.  A leggy blonde at the pet store went ga-ga watching me peel it off.
With jeans/jacket, I was just another random a-hole trying to fight traffic.

You're right, with that suit on you're no longer random...  ;)

Exactly.

I get a lot of double-takes, laughing, and staring, but at least they see me.  And that's what matters.

Not some folks showing up at my funeral saying, "Yeah, he was a really cool guy, in that jacket and jeans."

I just wish the dang things weren't so expensive, so more people could afford them.  Beginners need really good protective gear, but can't afford it because they're not even sure they'll like motorcycles that much.  And, half of us buy the bikes as cheap transportation, anyway.
At least, I thought it was gonna be cheap.  Me, and my dang upgrade fever!

I'll just say this:  I would give away my bike, to keep this suit.  Happily.
If anyone's thinking of buying one, and has any questions, feel free to ask.

As far as the Roadcrafter:
-the waterproof liner leaks in the crotch, therefore it's not waterproof
-Cordura melts
-you can't wear it at the track, so you've gotta pay AGAIN for track wear
-the ventilation SUCKS
-custom sizing costs extra
-it's not guaranteed for life.
-it won't stretch, when you get fat
-the armor is second-best
-I like C cups better than AARP cards.

Odd, I've been told that mine would even be ok in B group (where I ride). It's old and beat to shaZam!, too...

I wear leather when I'm riding hard (including track), just saying that a 'stich is acceptable on the track.

I'd rather not argue about it.
You proved my point, anyway, wearing leathers instead.

I actually prefer this over leathers.  No offense to Barnacle Bill, since he even offered to take me fishing on his new boat.

Had a perforated Vanson 2-piece for a while.
The Motoport is much better.

I think you were missing my point.  You have a strange fascination that I think has rubbed some of the members here the wrong way.  I'm sure you're a pleasant enough fellow despite your questionable taste.  I've heard that there's no accounting for taste though so I'll finish say this.

We all ride for our own reasons.  Some of us don't put on Power Rangers Fantasy Suits for any number of these reasons, anywhere from ability to afford the suit to having an understanding that getting on a bike and riding is dangerous, you will go down and it's going to hurt.  Spending a tremendous amount of time(not to mention money) on the idea of what could happen means that you get stuck in one place spiritually and otherwise.  Do you think it's a little too early to worry about what people will be saying at your funeral and do you think that any advertisement that constantly spouts off hyperbolic claims about a product probably has to do it because it can't sell itself?

Anyways, try to resist being a shill, hang out, post cool ride report pics and help and be helped with maintenance.  No more bad juju!

I didn't miss your point.  I just turned your words around to suit my purpose.

I'd do it again, but I'd rather go make a sandwich.  You win the internet.

Please tell me that you don't wear that suit, thats the silliest thing I've ever seen any one ever wear.
The more I learn about women, the more I love my bike.

God forbid I look silly!  I ride so people will see I'm really cool!

I'm having too much fun to care whether my gear looks cool.
