Is the crankshaft the same for the GS in all year models or have there been any changes made?

The GS crank hasn't changed since 1981.

Think this crankshaft looks good?

Dunno  Looks OK from here, cant see anything obvious, but I would be checking the journals with a mic` and making sure they are within tolerance. Getting it in the vee-blocks and checking it for runout with a DTI would be a good idea too. Whats its history? Maybe getting a machine shop to check it out would be money well spent
