I am going to need new brake pads to pass inspection. Anything you guys recommend? Thanks.

I have the stock ones and they seem to work fine. I just put that CRC Anti brake squeal stuff on the back sides and no more squeak. Very happy with stock pads.

Bought the cheapest, don't know the difference between certain types but happy with mine.

Does anyone know what the stock pad material is?  is it organic? sintered metal?  I have also been looking for new front pads and could not find the pad material for OEM.  ended up going with the ebc HH like everyone says.  they are supposed to be in today  :).  I was trying to keep as much as I could original on the bike since I think suzuki did a pretty good job making a balanced machine.  if i need better brakes, more power, bigger tire or whatever I can just upgrade to a bigger suzuki that will also be well balanced

I've used the OEM, EBC GG (Organic), EBC HH, and EMGO brake pads on my GSs.  The EBC HH have the best stopping power (friction) and fade resistance and last as long or a bit longer than the GG pads but are a little harsher on the rotors.  I've used the HH front and rear but would suggest sticking to front only with GG on the rear until you have mastered the GSs excellent rear brake to avoid lockup.  The HH are only a little more costly than the GG.

The OEM and EMGO pads fall between the EBC GG and HH pads in performance and the OEM are the most expensive, the EMGO the least expensive only costing about half as much as the OEM and they last longer than any of them.  Just my opinions for my usage and there are many other good brands of brake pads out there I've never tried.

For a single rotor bike like the GS, I'd recommend a Stintered HH Pad.

Given the amount of water that found its way into your tank/carbs I think it would be a good idea to replace the fluid front and back :thumb:
