A lot of people are parting gs500's on fleabay as well as here.
Just search for gs500 (surprise of surprises) in either place.

Interesting, he has a front master cylinder that has an adjustable brake lever. All things point to that being stopped in 2003 so is that a replacement lever or a complete master cylinder replacement? He said it is tagged and registered as a 2005 GS500. So how did it get an adjustable brake lever? I'm thinking of getting it for my 2009 unless there is just a lever I can get. Parts catalogs have same parts for 2003-2009. Different parts for 2002 and prior. I really want an adjustable lever for my short fingers.

Went to zook dealer today for SOC ride. Checked with parts department (they're a zook only dealer, so they have all parts in stock). They took out the new non-adjustable and the older adjustable and compared. Looked the same. Bought one - if it doesn't work, bring it back,.

Well - it is a direct replacement! Put it on and perfect fit. The older part  57300-32C10 - the older adjustable brake lever - will replace the newer non-adjustable one. Why didn't anyone know this?

I wondered why companies advertised levers compatible with all GS500's when I had been told they changed in 2003 and were not compatible.
