The subject says it all.  It doesn't bother me much since I shift by ear and feel but I guess I've got some kind of strange gremlin to fix.  Perhaps just a loose cable to the engine we'll see.

This happened to my speed-o once.. the cable had fallen out from behind the gauge.  i had to "re-cup" it so it wouldn't fall out again. I want to replace the speed-o and tach-o cables as soon as i can afford it.  Let us know what you find out!

Since the title does not say it all...
For 89-02 models (mechanical tach)... usually loose cable connection at the head or sometimes a broken cable.
For 04+ models (electrical tach)... loose or corroded wire connection.
Common sense in not very common.

Its ceased to report information ... it has, maybe you should check if it has a valid press card, or maybe its Reuters/API up link isn't working.

Yea, I dont like the ones that dont report at all, you never know, they have these "sources" and sometimes they are like ... sleeping wiht their "sources" and then they just report some weird stuff.

Cool.

Cable was loose where it comes into the heads, problem solved, fingers dirty, 20 seconds.  I'll use pliers to tighten it down.  Maybe needs relubrication?

It is always good to keep your cable lubed.
