Well, the BB gun I got a little while ago got me to thinking...  I decided that I needed a real 1894...

It's a 1971 manufacture, chambered in .30-30 and nearly mint.  It's been in a gun safe for the last 20 years and now I'm gonna get it seriously dirty.
Here's a shot next to the BB gun for comparison (BB gun on the right, Winchester on the left)

Dows that winnie eject from teh top? my sisters husband has one with ascope mounted, BUT the way teh gun is, the scope is mounted off to the side on top, because it ejects shells from teh top. i LOVe SHOOTING THAT THING. almost as much as i loved shooting the mauser, and my smith 500 ( which i sorely miss :( ) as well as my p38 which i sold mid last year :(

Yup, it's a top ejector.  Supposedly, the brass flings at about the 1 o clock position.  I'll try to take some better pics tomorrow, this thing is stupidly minty.

I think I've found a spare barrel for my P9S too, gonna have it threaded for a suppressor then start the paperwork for a silencer.  The P9S is one of the best platforms to suppress/silence, no mods needed aside from threading the barrel.

yeah thats the one. with a scope being on top the brass flying would it it. was up and off to the right. i know a few lefties that hated shooting hte thing i shot it left handed once. never did get a brass tattoo though  :dunno_black:

ive sold off all my guns, except for the broomhandle ( things are easy to find btw. with property taxes and head issues and being broke. got the guns out of my home. until things are improved. the broomhandle is on display at my friends gun shop with his other vintage pieces. including the gun paperwork, and revolver purchased by elvis. heck its insured and secore there. if someone steals it. it will get replaced with a broomhandle in better condition than wha ti have :D

Jughead

I got a Model 1873 winchester in .38-40 caliber.it is the third series.Haven't shot it yet can't afford nearly $80 for a box of shells. It was handed down to my dad through his brother.it was my Great Great Great Grandpaws.I'm sure it killed plenty of bears and possibly a few Men.
If it's Not Broke Modify it.

1873 Springfield .45-70.

Man, what I wouldn't do for a Trapdoor in .45 Gubmint.  (actually, I'd only want it if I had a reloading press as well, that stuff ain't cheap)

I hear ya juggy.  In my hunt for an 1894, I came across several in the beast-killer sizes.  I made a very deliberate decision that I wanted a .30-30 or 32Win so I could get ammo for ~$1/rd.

spc

Everything just kinda fell into place.  I'd been looking for an 1894 pattern and something happened with every one that I was considering prior to this one.  This one, the distance I had to travel was right, the condition is spectacular and the price was right.

That Hornady leverevolution stuff looks mean. In .30-30, at 100yds, you get ~250fps and ~300lbsft more over other ammunition.  I picked up some 20rd packs of Remington CorLokt at Walmart today for $15/box, not bad for a rifle round.

Must be a smudge, the only imperfection on the Winchester is around the front of the magazine feed and I couldn't get it to show up in pics.  There are a few small scratches there.  The BB gun needs some love cosmetically, but functions perfectly and is surprisingly accurate.  (I was picking off pineconse at about 40ft).

Yama, for some reason, the first thing that comes to mind is that Jimmy Buffet song 'Gypsies in the palace' :icon_lol:  Have fun and make some big holes in stuff :thumb:

yamahonkawazuki

Sorry it wasnt the winnie. but the one that was upside down in teh pic. my bad. hell that bb gun looks SO much liek a winchester its insane

Ha! yup, that BB gun is very good replica.  It's actually a hair longer and wider than the real deal, but the Winchester has a taller butt.  That's just adhesive residue on the BB gun, it's in decent condition aside from the receiver area that needs a lot of touching up.

Nice '94 terry.
Why didn't you just go the whole way and buy me a f@#king Kawasaki you bastards.

BP i agree. am envious of anythign winchester. i want a big bore one though. lol. idk why but i just do. but ehh it will have to wait until my personal and financial situation improves. plus i can shoot my friends gun collection ( and ammo) any time i wish  :D so i cant complain :2guns:  looking forward to shooting the barrett VERY soon. identical to this one. but without teh flying headphoens effect lol

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ABGIJwiGBc ive shot this gun before. ran out a couple hundred dollars for ammo. so i dont try to wear out my welcome with this gun. but hes like have fun BUT dontbreak it. but still a courtesy gesture. that ammo is NOT cheap

40,000lbs/ft of energy coming out of that thing.  That's enough to get the point across to almost anybody.

yamahonkawazuki
