Hi I am new to the board and just purchased a 2001 GS500.  I was wondering if any of your have found any different seats for the 01 gs than the stock seat.  The seat that is on the one I am buying appears to be porous due to the covering having many holes.   I would like to find one that is finished in just all black if possible.  Any ideas or websites that may sell them would greatly help.

Here are some ideas for you.
Sargent Cycle Products (http://www.sargentcycle.com/custserv.htm)(800-749-7328) can modify and recover your seat to your specs and they have been doing this kind of work for many years.  They can replace the cover with something more to your liking, as well as change the shape of the saddle.
Corbin Seats (www.corbin.com) (800-538-7035) makes custom saddles, but covers the GS500 only through 2000. You might call them anyway and see if there are any options there.
