Well I found this while goofing off at work.  This site has pictures of a bad lookin body kit
http://www.bikepower.net/gs500e-power/2004-model/gs500racing/index.htm

Does it fit a 95-96 GS?  I'd like to know if anyone knows where I can get this without ordering from brazil (don't speak portugese) or could anyone here make one?

I'm thinking about getting this for my '89.  The front section will fit, but I don't think the back will.  Their English is pretty good so you can get any answers you need from them.

i love that fairing but right now i can't pay more than 1000 CND

i used to work in a plastick factory and made a lot of plastic parts for suzuki and yamaha....you wouldn't belive how cheap they are but sell for so so much more

I'm getting it shipped up here unfinished.  By the time I get a decent paint job on it, I'm expecting to pay about $1500 CDN.  Crappy, but it beats $7500+ CDN (after taxes) for a new one.

Greetings gentleman,

I'm from Brazil, and I know these fairings personally. The maker, 'Aluizio Motos' ( something like 'Aluizio's Bikes'), is the official supplier for all authorized suzuki sellers in Brazil. In fact, his store is an authorized dealer for suzuki ( exclusive ) as well.

They do look awesome, but the price is around U$ 1100 or so, without shipping, at this moment, as far as I know.

If anyone desperately needs it, I may be able to help somehow.

Cheers,

Alex

Alex,

Have you personally seen these fairings?  Fox from this site mentioned they are pretty fragile... do you have an opinion?

Aluizio quoted me $750USD for an unfinished front section, plus $70USD to ship it to Canada.  I think you're right, it's about $1100 for the full kit.

Any help you could provide would be appreciated, but I'm not sure what else I need at this point.

Thanks.

Yes, I have seen them in person. They certainly aren't as sturdy as, for instance, the factory fairing of the SRAD 750 or the CBR600. They're built with three layers of fibreglass and them bolted to various parts of the frame/engine.

But, as long as you're in the tarmac they should resist well, or at least that's what it seems.

The headlight is from the Honda NXR400 Falcon ( a dirt bike ) , so it's a tad too small for the GS body, I believe, but should do the job.

We don't have the GS500F in Brazil at this moment, but I'm looking forward to it. I've seen a few pictures of it, so if anyone has a few to spare i'd like to check it out.

Cheers,

Alex
