While I was out riding today, I noticed my tachometer was jumping around. I have never had one go bad before. Is it time to replace or is there maybe something wrong that needs adjusting or something? Thanks!

Tighten up the cable where it screws into the motor.

Lube the tach cable. The tach is mechanically driven, and if there is too much friction in the sheath it will stick and wind up, then jump.

You can take the ineer torque shaft right out, and clean it with some WD40. Lube it with some motor oil.

It can also be a sign the tach drive cable is about to break, so picking up a new one might be a good idea.

Thanks for the help, I will check those things out and see what it is. Thanks again!
