I have a Line-X spray in liner in mine - got it when the truck was a week old. Man that stuff SUCKS!! First of all, the meathead that sprayed the truck didn't take out the inner gate bolts, so when my gate latch eventually fails, I'm gonna have a hell of a time getting it out to replace it. I've also had several places where it's bubbled up and a few where it's chipped and peeled. If I got another truck I'd have it coated by Vortex - a friend of mine owns a Vortex distributorship - that stuff is awesome. It chemically bonds to any surface, so even if the prep job is marginal it still won't bubble or peel. And if you're wondering, I got the truck before he started the business!

Short of the crappy lining though, I love the truck. Tows my trailer and hauls everything from bikes to go-karts to motors and transmissions and never gives me trouble...well, once the battery died, but it was under warranty so I called Dodge to pick it up on the flatbed and bring it to the dealership to replace the battery. Lazy, yes - but that's why I bought the warranty!

i find it laughable that some states outlaw radar detectors.  Guess its pretty bad when  your relying on traffic violations to Fund your local Law enforcment to the point you make detectors unlawful to operate and make you slow down so you dont get caught and fined.
Accelerate like your being chased, Corner like you mean it, Brake as if you life depends on it.
Ride Hard...or go home.

......Just ask all the guys driving Honda Civics covered in stickers! Each one adds at -least- 20hp!  ....
dont forget, you add 50 pounds of plastic panels to it also. seems weird how adding weight to a car can make it faster when you are trying to remove  the weight. also dont forget, neon lights are good for 50hp, and loud stereos are good for 100hp   :nana:  :nana:  :bs:  :bs:

The bigger the exhaust tip, the more power you'll make! Don't worry if the actual pipe is only an inch around, you need at -least- a 6 inch tip!

you guys are all forgetting the most important piece of all go fast hardware: The window decals that say such things as "Honda Speed", or "Persian", or "Rice Rocket".

Hi-T

So then does it make it cheesy for us to put stickers on our bikes with our mods...  I mean I've got quite a few (Racetech, K&N, Pirelli, Avon, Vance & Hines).  Doesn't that increase resale 10% and add a little intimidation.

Come to think of it-  I haven't had any rice burners race me since I put the exhaust on- they pretend like they're going to race, but they always back off the second I rev the bike up.  :dunno:  It's such a feel good knowing that i'm faster and sooo much cheaper than most "sport" cars.

And if it is cool for us to sticker our bikes - then we need one for Bobie B's advancer- I don't know where I'd be without that.

The Antibody

Take it easy as long as you need to. I'ts better than feeling like a jerk after you make a stupid mistake and wreck. You'll get em. I would have told the cop, "If you give me a warning, I'm going to appeal it!" Oh yeah, it's only a warning, but that would get the point across that it wasn't you, and you won't put up with their bullshit.

WERASE - No, I hadn't heard that, but it wouldn't surprise me. If they see a radar detector in the car you get an additional fat ticket above the speeding ticket. Even if it's not plugged in. My buddy got pulled over and when he opened the glove box for the registration his radar detector fell out and he got a fat ticket - even though he was from out of state and it wasn't plugged in.

Flash

I almost had the same experience (sort of):

I had just received a speeding ticket not a month before I got pulled over again. I was going a little fast and flew by this cop entering the highway ramp. I figured I was screwed. He asks for my license and registration, tells me to keep the speed down, and proceeds to let me go with a warning.

Apparently, he tells me he is on the lookout for these bikers on crotch rockets doing wheelies around this area. For some reason, he knew I wasn't one of them. Not sure if it was the bike (definitely not your typical crotch rocket) or my size (only 5' 2" tall).

I was lucky though; some of us get shitty treatment from these "biker boyz" giving motorcyclists a bad name.
