Nice looking ride there, been meaning to do Bells Line ever since I got the bike. I live in Penrith too, so just on my doorstep. Might be a bit cold this time of year though.

Rode to work yesterday, -2 in the morning when I left for work at 6am. Never been so cold in my life, my hands were all red and numb by the time I got to work and I wear thick winter gloves! All part of the adventure that is motorcycling though I suppose :thumb: The other guy who arrives at the same time as me said I was a nut case for riding :icon_lol:

It was -6 here yesterday, along with the fog meant that I had a layer of ice on me. Heated grips help, but when it starts getting down that cold a pair of hand guards would be more of a help as they keep the cold wind off your hands. A pair of silk gloves to wear inside your gloves could help.
The more I learn about women, the more I love my bike.

I'm loving my electrically heated gear.....long night ride last night up to the Central Coast and back, toasty warm the whole way!

I've got Bark busters on order for the bike and haven't decided if I want heated grips yet. How much of a difference do they make over getting hand guards to deflect the wind?

Enjoying winter riding so far...dont mind the cold but you can keep the rain. Was sleeting for a fair while up at Katoomba, wind was blowing a gale so sleet didnt settle, but when i hit Hazelbrook, rain and sleeting had stopped and dry road again, was a good ride home. Will invest in good winter gloves that arent too chunky

I love riding in the rain, it's a great test. Another bonus is that the bronze aren't out with their radars on wet days.

I live in Penrith and work in Parramatta. I left home late as usual a few days back and the weather was fine, albeit cold and dark, by the time I reached the Caltex servo on the M4 it was sprinkling a little, so I thought nothing of it and didn't bother putting my wets over my leathers. Biggest mistake! By the time I reached Prospect Hwy my leathers were already totally soaked through, I was gonna stop and put my wets on, but it cleared up. Only for it to start pouring again after Cumberland Hwy

Needless to say I was in a pretty shitty mood by the time I got to work.

I finally worked out why everyone says shaZam! all the time :icon_lol:
