I ended up with a 2000 GS500E, black, with 96xx miles.  I did some trading, this bike came to me not running, the prior owner took some of it apart and couldn't figure it out I guess.  Clear Missouri title.

I think the kick stand switch is bad, so they could not start it? I don't know, as I cleaned the carbs, and got it to start and high idle with the choke, and sort of idle off choke. I have to hold the clutch lever in to start it, I have not jumpered the switch.

I really don't want to spend more time on it, I am not going to keep it although it is a nice looking motorcycle.  I am thinking I could part if out for more than $1000, so that is what I would like for it. Picked up in St Charles MO.

I appreciate this site, it helped me figure out the fuel lines (I put on new ones, the old ones were off when I got it). I also put in a new battery and cleaned the tank, it had a little rust inside.  The bike is not perfect, has newer tires, but it is nice. Seat is perfect. Tank needs new paint, or 2 spots touched up.
