I've just returned today from the Montreal Motorcycle Show...just thought I'd let everyone know that the 04 GS 500 F had a constant swirl of excited folks around it all the time I was there...and, I have to say, pictures do not do it justice.  It really looks great live!

Other bikes that seemed to generate lots of interest:  R1's &  R6's, (Honda)599, ST1300 & FJ 1300, FZ6, both V-Stroms, KTM, GXSRs, and almost all of the Dukes.

Helmets, clothing, and accessories were no bargain...can do as well or better online.

And, of course, HD was always mobbed.  Go figger.

An enjoyable weekend.  I'm more antsy than ever for the first rideable day!!!

Oh yea the GS its the newest bike from suzuki, that's why they have to see it... Now that its the newest bike in the most exciting lineup (ofcourse the GSXR line) the magazine weenies are preparing to drool all over it too... Till next year... and guess what is going to replace it as the drool motovator for 2005... Yes Honda is going to put a fairing on their 919 and introduce it as a CBR ... and of course the magazine weenies will be wondering if the 599 isn't next... but they have to wait a whole year to find out.... oooo the suspense. Then who knows what the limit is... a fairing on the FZ1 maybe from yamaha...
Cool.

I believe Yamaha sells full fairing bits for the FZ1 as an accessory :)

You know... we could be like H-D and have one model line update every 20 years!  :o  or so...

Me: I'll kick your kitty ass!  Cat: Meow :P

The GSXR lineup most exciting  :?

Yamaha has that one wrapped hands down.

OOOO nice one... The "Never be satisfied..." was from one of the contestants on The apperentice... in one of the teasers to that show she says "never be satisfied till you are on top" in one high pitched voice that despite the hotness of the chick, and the innuendo of the sentence itself... I wanted to slap her ... and I knew someone in real life that used to sound like that... however she was a little pathetic and stupid and no where near a corporate ladder she was thinking she was climbing... hence it made its way into my sig... Anyway add sarcstic and condescending to shrill and irritating and that describes the magazine weenie post.
Cool.

OK,  I'm at work, not really working just sort of chuckling at this.  Glad you have not lost your sense of humor.  That post must have been before coffee (or maybe after too much coffee..??)..anyway, you do make some valid points.  I do love the phrase "magazine weenies".

Yea corporate go getter chick... The one I knew at a previous job was desparately trying to get ahead by kissing up, brow nosing, comming in early... I mean really really early and staying late... real late... and not taking her reportees to lunch for project completion etc... of course she was not doing any work... she wasn't capable of that... and eventually somone told the boss... He watched her squirm when he found mistakes in her work, which she delegated to us, and she came in and was yelling at us for sloppy work when the guy that did it pointed out the call to the function in between 10 lines of comment... and at that moment her phone rang... and we never saw her since. OK count one for the workers...
Cool.
