Ok.......yes I did a search on bar ends and I understand people have them break and this part is missing etc.  I have bent stock bars and bought some super bike bars to replace them with.  Is the threaded part in the stock bars removable or welded in?  Was going to go for a ride and wanted to make sure they won't just fall out if the stock screw was a tensioner of sorts.  Any feedback?

I appreciate it, and I hope everyone is doing well.

my '08's were removable. Just a rubber plug that is expanded by a bolt as you tighten it.

I would just buy a cheap pair of bar ends. the GS setup was always goofy.

Cool, thx

I am pretty sure mine are welded in there.  Will check out some cheap aftermarket ones.  Not sure why but the bars look way off without them.  I kept the plastic plugs from the new bars when I cut them off.  May just pop them in there for now.
