Nice! I never thought about having a sign WITH a large animal on it. It is a sign. It is by the road. It is a LARGE animal. It is a large sign. Cool!

adidasguy

Here we go - outside and inside the public storage.

OK - we have a holiday.
Take a picture of your GS with a Bar-B-Q. If you're not in the US or not having a Labor Day party, your bar-b-q will still be OK.
And let's make it interesting - let is also see what you're bar-b-q-ing. Grill must be on and something cooking. Charcoal or propane or wood fired - don't really care (I'm not Hank Hill selling propane and propane accessories.)

Mister got the idea.  The great big bird in the example is a Road Runner, college mascot for Angelina College in Lufkin, TX.

Keep the shiny side up.

I'm hungry! I want to see what you're grilling for your GS!

Paulcet

Ribeye!

Sorry it's not next to the grill. I'm not going to try to ride through a deep bed of pine needles and squeeze trough the gate to the back yard. Hope you understand.

Next challenge:  Your bike with a limousine.

'97 GS500E Custom by dgyver: GSXR rear shock | SV gauges | Yoshi exh. | K & N Lunchbox | Kat forks | Custom rearsets | And More!

adidasguy

You win!
Yummy! As along as you share the meat! I'm hungry again.

Here ya go,

Next Challenge: Your bike in a cave (garage doesn't count)

adidasguy

Nice bike. What a butt ugly limo! To they pay people to ride in it?

Indeed. I am not sure what the story behind the limo is... has been parked there as long as I have been commuting past it.. there was a shiny white one parked a few spots over but that one seemed more interesting.

Devon,

The idea isn't to see who - if anyone at all - is maybe remotely able to get the challenge. It is to see who can get it first.

In a cave.... no surprises there it failed. Can YOU get it?

Population sign UNDER 100?

Unless you can get this one, I also reckon it'll fail too. BUT, I could be wrong. I'll be riding through some pretty small joints next weekend. So maybe. But I doubt even they are Under 100 even if they have a population sign. Guess we'll see though after seven days...

Well, according to http://www.city-data.com/, there aren't any towns with a population less than 100 in CA, so looks like I'm out of this one  :icon_sad: ...

I'd be happy to get a picture of my bike in a cave. Unfortunately it is in pieces right now and I need to wait for the new chain to arrive before I can do that... I will after that, assuming I manage to get it back together...  :thumb:

I'm sorry my challenges seem impossible. That certainly was not my intent. I was actually having a difficult time coming up with an idea for this one and I remembered the less than 100 sign was a challenge on another forum's photo game I saw a while back.. it was found pretty quick. I can think of a few towns I've driven few with those signs..

How about under 1000 then if 100 is too difficult? I am sure most people can find one of those.

I think that list is incomplete... Maybe doesn't include unincorporated areas?

Here is one someone else found in Marin County...

I'm pretty sure Oakville is under 100 as well... though am not positive.
Also those are both up North... I don't know where you are located.
Doesn't really matter though, changed it to 1000.

TheRealSpinner

Alright, you got me.  I just did a quick search for population of cities in CA.  I'm even from Marin County (although, I currently reside in Chico).  I might have to do a better search...

I've also been dragged over the coals from posting too difficult of a task.  Would have worked well for you, though, one task I asked was for a picture of your bike in pieces.

We Had "your town/city population sign" which was completed by jfinstrom. But the challenge wasn't a Specific Number.

Dogtown? Is that a place or just some sign nailed to a tree somewhere?

I think there's more chance of this one being done.

It's a place. Sign is just all marked up from the constantly changing population.

Yes that would have worked well..

I've actually been exploring Marin a bit lately... mainly around the Tamales Bay area... lots of good roads

I'm from Sonoma. You might be able to help me out with something. I'm actually heading up to Chico next month to visit my friend who is going there. Any ideas for a fun route there?
