its not nearly as effective as a full fairing, but I believe that it helps some with wind.  especially keeping cold wind off your jacket zipper if that's a concern for you.

and of course, it does wonders for the appearance of the front end.

IMHO, worth the cash.  I'm 6'3" and when I'm upright it helps keep the wind off my torso like a said before.  If I want a little more protection... say, for passing a semi or something, I'll slide my butt back on the seat and duck down behind it to get a good slipstream going over my helmet.  It works well, but that position is unsustainable, so its only good for short-term protection.

if you're concerned solely with wind protection there are other, bigger screens out there for the same price, but the F16 will give you a sporty look and afford you some wind protection.  I'm glad I have mine.  I don't ever take it off the bike
