Hey, I know it's not for sale area, but I hope to get better attention here  :thumb:

I lost one of the fairing bolts, and I need to replace it.
I would be more than happy to pay the same price as bikebandit charges but I don't feel like paying $6 for shipping of one bolt...

Does anybody have spare fairing bolt?

There are 3 types of bolts in fairing: Large and 2 small ones.
2 small ones are different, I need the one with longer 'spacer'.

if you do have it or know place that charges real shipping cost, please let me know.

I bought a box-o-bolts and I know it has some faring bolts. I'll have to check tonight. I can pull one from my bike to compare as I go through the box.

Yeah let me check too. I have some but I think they may be the small ones.
Edit: Well never mind, I don't know where I got these from. They have an even bigger shoulder than the ones you're looking for. Good luck.

I will order the bolt from bikebandit.
I have to order fuel hoses anyway so I have to pay shipping whether I want it or not.

thanks for your offers though!!

If you haven't ordered yet, can't you get fuel line at any auto parts store near you?
I've got a few of those bolts in the box-o-bolts. I'd be glad to drop a couple in the mail to you if you still want them. If you do, just PM me your mailing address.

Yep, fuel line is fuel line. Grab some at Napa and save time/money.

Yea, and why worry about 75 cents postage? Just do another GStwinner a favor someday. I found a dozen of those bolts.

JB848

Nothing for nothing but those bolts can be had at any hardware store with some luck. They are Metric Hex screws I would say technically. If it is just one why not find a Metric Phillips replacement. I know the uppers have a collar but using a washer would achieve the same thing for 10 cents!

Have you been taking your fairing off a lot? I do and I always make sure they are snug when I put them back on.

kml.krk

I really appreciate your offer for those bolts.
I, however, already placed order with bikebandit.

And in my opinion, any fuel hose is NOT as good as OEM fuel hose. One of my fuel hoses is still OEM and it is soft, flexible, in good condition.
The remaining two hoses are from PepBoys and first of all they never fit well, the walls are thick so I couldn't get them mounted under tank, they are 2 years old and already in bad condition, stiff and they will crack soon around petcock.
The price for original hoses is roughly twice as much as PepBoys hoses, but their life is at about three times better. So the original cost less than aftermarket hoses...

PS. I do not take my fairings off often. Only when I have to do some maintenance, or repairs.
I probably didn't tighten it properly and it fell off  :2guns:

Not a million dollars though  ;) so no big deal.
Thanks again for your offers!
If I lose more bolts I will kindly ask again!

Glad you got the parts. In the future just ask..I am the master of finding replacements

I could use hose clamp but it would have to be smal.  Much smaller than fuel hose clamp.  Would you happen tohave such a small clamp?

A picture of the original next to a ruler would be helpful. If I don't have it I bet I could find one!

kml.krk

the problem is I don't have an original  ;)
but when I get the cap I can measure the outer diameter.

Or maybe I can just go to local hardware store and find something that would work...  :thumb:
