How hard do yall think it would be to buy a used, maybe slightly damaged fairing (ebay) from something like an SV650 or Bandit 600 or something like that and modify it to fit a GS500?
If you think you can, don't. Many things start with "I think I can," and end with "Ow!"

Dunno. :dunno: In a few more months I'm gonna be removing my 18 year old $50 National Cycle windshield for the summer.

Before I got my GS I was going to buy a wrecked Ninja - I bought a fairing off ebay for a Z1000.  Forgot all about it until a few days ago when it arrived.  Thought about trying to mount it, doesn't look like it would be all too difficult, but we'll see.

keep me posted, and take lots of pictures!!!

I recently mounted an Aprilia RS250 race fairing to the front of my bike.  Not too difficult.  I will eventually take pictures and show how I did it.

id say probably the hardest part would be fabricating the mounting points :thumb:

But you can modify some stock mounting points if you want. This is how I did mine.  I'll post details later on it if anyone's interested.
