Are there any other bikes with rearsets that fit the GS?  I've heard of people fitting GSXR pegs, but it requires drilling, right?

Just saw these on craigslist, they look pretty badass.  Looks like they're made for a whole bunch of models, but not the GS.

They're due for my machine design class by the second week of december, so pics and stuff will be posted by then with a discussion about the possibility of producing them. The whole purpose of the project is to not only make them, but have them be ready to put to market.

What are the idea of rear sets? Do they improve comfort or make the riding position more aggressive?

Either/both

The idea is to add some adjustability to the position of the foot controls. For some, that could mean making the positioning more aggressive. For others, that could mean a more relaxed position to improve comfort.

For others, it's just an aesthetic thing.

They're not a direct bolt on, but with a minimal amount of work people usually use the cbr f2/f3 rearsets. You have to grind out the mounting holes slightly so the holes match up with the holes in the frame, but I think that's the majority of what it takes.

Aside from comfort, new rearsets also give you the option to get your pegs high enough off of the ground so you don't have to worry about them scraping on the ground.

IF you're gonna pay that much maybe look into the Gimbal rear sets for the GS.

uh, there a ton more attractive than the stockers thank you very much  And you also have to finagle the brake light switch into the rearset but that's not to much of an issue either. The F2 rearsets probably aren't for 6ft+ guys/gals because they bring you up about an inch an back about half an inch. And with a little Mothers' they look VERY nice on a sunny day.

I guess they do look better than stock, I just prefer the all metal pegs as opposed to rubber.  And compared to these, no challenge.

Yeah but you can get the F2 sets for 25-40 bucks as opposed to 260. Pegs,smegs. You could swap out the rubber pegs for aluminum pegs. again,no big deal

I used the rearset from a f3 and yes some modind is need but can run the rear master from the f3. i am very happy with them and they look good imo

Got a set of Woodcraft's on mine and can't describe how much more comfortable and enjoyable the ride is. Also seemed to quicken the shift with the linkage setup. I'm 5-11, BTW. And, yes, they look pimp...
